EF&I Management Team
Although EF&I is structured as a privately held corporation, our seasoned management team offers a very diverse range of talent and expertise which culminates into over 250 years of combined experience from companies such as; Verizon, GTE, AT&T, Pacific Bell, Automatic Electric, General Electric, Western Electric, Siemens, Southern Bell, Motorola, and Sprint. Our management team leverages its vast experience and expertise to provide our clients with the most comprehensive solution possible. EF&I is currently operating with five area offices and over 200 active employees.
O'Neal Sutton - Chairman/CEO
Mr. Sutton began his career at Western Electric and spent over 25 years with GTE Lenkurt, holding various positions in the EF&I Division. After taking early retirement in 1982, Mr. Sutton formed EF&I Services Corp. His experience, contacts and business philosophy form the cornerstone of the company upon which the management staff continues to build today. In addition to Mr. Sutton's involvement in EF&I Services Corp, he is currently a partner in A.J. O'Neal and Associates, a staffing firm in the southwest Florida, and was a founding partner in TSI of Florida and the 512 Group which were highly successful pioneers of the modern day terminal block and connectorized fiber optic and cable assembly.
O'Neal Sutton III. - President/General Manager
O'Neal has over 28 years of diversified hands-on experience in field operations, program management and overall business operations as EF&I's President and General Manager of Operations. O'Neal began his career in 1983 in field installation engaged with a team to build the original Sprint network wireless long distance network throughout the west and southwest. Since those early days, O’Neal has continued his career in progressive management positions responsible for leadership and oversight of personnel and resources for several large-scale network deployment programs with such clients as; Sprint, MCI, Wiltel, Norfolk Southern RR and GTE Verizon. O’Neal is currently responsible for all corporate operations as the company’s General Manager. O'Neal is a member of the California Telephone Association (CalCom), California Wireless Association (CWA), Texas Telephone Association (TTA), and the Association of Railway System Suppliers (RSSI). In addition, O'Neal is a former founder and served on the Board of Directors for a publicly traded Banking institution.
Margaret Lanahan - Vice President Telemedia Solutions
Margaret joined EF&I in June 2009 as the Vice President of Telemedia Solutions. With a 30 year career at Verizon in telecom/data/video engineering, operations and customer service, Margaret brings knowledge and experience that has both depth and breadth to EF&I. Most recently, in her role as Director of FiOS Operations, Margaret successfully managed Verizon’s Video Service franchise contractual agreements, metrics and processes development, service delivery and network analysis. Margaret holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Siena College and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; additionally, she has completed the Executive Leadership Programs at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
David Fox - Marketing Director
David has more than 28 years of diversified sales and marketing experience in the telecommunication and fiber optic industry. David began his career in 1983 as a Sales Manager for 3M’s Telecom division where he was responsible for business development, product development and prototype testing with the major telephone companies and NASA. After leaving 3M in 1992, David co-founded Applied Fiber Telecom., Inc to focus on fiber optic connectivity equipment and technology. During his years as Vice President, Applied Fiber Telecom received numerous awards including “GTE Supplier of the Year”. Prior to joining EF&I, David managed the marketing operations for Emerson’s Connectivity Solutions group (formerly known as TSI of Florida) where he managed a network of product distributors and sales reps. David is a former Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce.
Thomas Blady - Director of Rail & Transportation Division
Tom joined EF&I in 2011 to head-up our division dedicated to our rail and transportation clients. Prior to joining EF&I Services Corp, Tom spent more than 30 years of progressive experience with such companies as Verizon, CSX, Travelers Group and American Express. Most recently, Tom spent more than 5 years with Verizon Business where he served in a technical consultant role involved in Verizon’s Managed Services, Security solutions and Hosting solutions. Tom provided liaison support to CSX as Verizon is currently the managed service provider. Prior to Verizon, Tom spent more than 10 years as CSX Railroad’s Vice President of Communications Solutions. Tom was instrumental in negotiating and implementing the conversion of providers from at&t to the current Verizon Business managed network solution. During Tom’s tenure at CSX, he was responsible for reducing communications related train delays by 80% while assuming responsibility for an additional 4,260 track miles. Mr. Blady has an MBA in Operations Research/Finance from Temple University, MS in Physics from Northeastern University and a BS in Mathematics from St. Joseph’s University.
Warren Munch -Director, Network Services Division
Warren joined EF&I's team in 2004. Prior to joining EF&I, Warren spent more than 30 years in key management positions with such companies as; Nynex, Bell Atlantic, Verizon, Orius Corp., and Link America. Prior to early retirement from Bell Atlantic, Warren held various management positions in engineering, operations and network planning. Mr. Munch has an MBA in Finance from Dowlng College and a B.S. in business from Empire State College.
Gary Davis - Regional Manager (Maintenance)
Gary began his career with EF&I in 2000 to lead our maintenance program team with Norfolk Southern Corp. Prior to joining EF&I, Gary had over 35 years of progressive experience in the wireless industry in areas of Technical Support/Implementation and Program Management for such companies as; General Electric and Motorola. Gary has a degree in Business Management from Georgia College and State University.
